Chandpur District

Chandpur is surrounded by Munshigonj and Commilla districts to the north, Barishal, Noakhali and Laxmipur to the south, Commilla to the east and Shariatpur and part of Munshigonj districts to the west. It is composed of 8 Upazilas, 88 Unions and 7 Municipalities. Chandpur is the first district in Bangladesh to implement the District Branding initiative. Chandpur is now known as "ইলিশের বাড়ি চাঁদপুর "-"City of Hilsha". Its logo is designed by internationally recognized famous artist from Chandpur, Mr. Hashem Khan.
